| The Magic of Christmas | When I was young, my father began what has turned out to be a family tradition by being Santa Claus. My father passed the tradition on to my uncle, who was a great Santa and a big influence in my decision to continue the tradition. As it became my turn I thought, what could be more thrilling than being Santa Claus ... feeding reindeer, making toys, wrapping presents, shopping, singing Christmas carols, and my favorite, sipping hot chocolate with marshmallows by a warm fireplace. |
| For me, believing in Santa Claus makes the season magical and brings joy to the oldest as well as the youngest of hearts. It is the night when wishes can come true and children wake with gleams in their eyes, smiles on their faces, and magic in the air because they believe Santa Claus had been there. "Believing" and "Children" are what make Santa Claus real. | |

Holiday Season
Santa Claus will be appearing at the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad Polar Express Departing Bryson
City November 9-11, 15-18, 23-25 29,30 and December 1-2, 4-9, 11-23. The
Polar Express comes to life when the train departs the Bryson City depot
for a journey to our "North Pole". Guests on board will enjoy hot chocolate
and treats while listening and reading along with the magical story. Experience
the joy of watching the children's faces when the train arrives at our
"North Pole," where Santa Claus will be waiting. Santa will board The Polar
Express where he will greet each child and present them with a special
memento. Holiday carols will be sung on the return trip to Bryson City.
Families will want to make this a holiday tradition!
